How To: Create a server with Windows LDAP authentication in Titan SFTP
To add support for LDAP authentication in Titan SFTP you need to configure an Authentication Provider
Steps
- In the Titan Administrator click on the server instance and then select the 'User Auth' tab
- Click on the “+” icon on the far right hand side to add a new Authentication Provider
- Click on the drop-down menu and select “Standard LDAP User Authentication” and click on Next.
- The next few steps will ask you for the domain name and server name for the LDAP server, the server name will be the IP address or URL used to access the LDAP server and the Domain Name will be your domain name
- Enter the username and password required to access the LDAP server
- Most of the other settings can and should be left to their default values
- On the final page of the wizard you can enter a the "Friendly Description" which will be displayed in the list of authentication providers
- A 'Domain Suffix' is optional but can be used when multiple authentication providers are enabled. This should then be used after the username when logging in, i.e. "joe.smith@mydomain.com" and the Domain Suffice would be "@mydomain.com"
